Jewelry care guide

All our jewelry is made by skilled silversmiths in Bali in Indonesia. Silver quality was double checked for European standards and stamped accordingly with responsibility mark awarded by hallmarking office in Czech Republic.

To preserve its beauty and uniqueness, proper care is essential. Here’s how to keep your pieces radiant for years to come.

General Care Instructions:

  • Store Properly

  • Always store your jewelry in a dry, soft-lined box or pouch. Keep pieces separate to avoid scratches and tangles.

  • Avoid Moisture

  • Water, humidity, and chemicals can tarnish silver, wear down gold vermeil, and damage natural shells. Remove jewelry before swimming, bathing, exercising or any hard manual work.

  • Gentle Cleaning

  • Clean jewelry with a special polishing cloth or soft, non-abrasive cloth after wearing to remove oils and sweat. For deeper cleaning, use lukewarm water and mild, chemical-free soap—only if necessary—and dry thoroughly.

  • Shell Care

  • Shell components are natural and delicate. Avoid acidic cleaners, vinegar, lemon juice, or harsh chemicals, as they can erode or fade the natural color and finish of the shell.

  • Adjustable Rings

  • Our adjustable rings are designed for flexibility but should be adjusted gently and minimally. Frequent or aggressive bending can weaken the metal and cause cracks or breakage over time.

Materials:

Silver Jewelry

  • All our pieces are original designs casted with handmade bezels from sterling silver 925/1000

  • Silver naturally tarnishes over time. Regular wear can minimize tarnish, thanks to the natural oils from your skin.

  • For heavy tarnish, use a silver-specific cleaning solution sparingly. Avoid harsh chemicals.

Gold Vermeil Jewelry

  • Gold vermeil is a thick layer of 18k gold over sterling silver. It's more delicate than solid gold and needs special care to prevent the gold layer from wearing away.

  • To be legally called "vermeil" internationally, the jewelry piece must be plated in gold that is at least 10k (10 karats). That means the gold is at least 41.7% gold content. Have gold plating that is at least 2.5 microns thick. A micron is 1/1000th of a milimiter.

  • All our silver pieces are gold plated with 3 omicrons thick layer of 18 karat gold.

Gold Plated Jewelry

  • Some of our pieces are made out of brass as base metal and plated with thin silver layer first and then plated with also 3 omicrons thick layer of 18 karat gold.

For both gold vermeil and gold plated jewelry always clean gently and avoid over-polishing.

Shell Jewelry

  • Each shell piece is unique and sensitive to its environment. Exposure to harsh cleaning agents, acids may alter their color or surface quality.

  • Shells used for gold Vemeil jewelry might loose their shine over time due to the gold plating process. We recommend from time to time to apply any natural oil to bring the color back.

Do:

  • Store jewelry in a cool, dry place, preferably in a fabric-lined box or anti-tarnish pouch.

  • Gently wipe jewelry after each wear with a soft, dry cloth.

  • Adjust adjustable rings carefully and only when necessary.

  • Apply perfumes, lotions, and hair sprays before putting on jewelry.

  • Remove jewelry before swimming, showering, exercising, or cleaning.

Don't:

  • Don’t expose jewelry to harsh chemicals like chlorine, bleach, or acidic cleaners.

  • Don’t use acidic substances (like lemon or vinegar) to clean shell jewelry — they can fade or erode the natural surface.

  • Don’t store jewelry in humid places like bathrooms.

  • Don’t bend adjustable rings repeatedly or forcefully.

  • Don’t use abrasive materials, toothpaste, or tissue paper to clean jewelry.

  • Don’t sleep with your jewelry on — this can cause scratches or bending.

A little love and mindful handling go a long way.
With the right care, your silver, gold vermeil, and shell jewelry will continue to shine and tell your story for years to come.
